Ministry with Auburn’s Community in Need

Ministry with those who are experiencing need is a vital part of Messiah’s life and work.  We do so in a variety of ways, and we are continuing to review and implement new ways to help meet some of the needs experienced by folks in Auburn.

Intensive ministry with those in need is not something that presents itself directly to all congregations.  It does, though, present itself to us here at Messiah.  Those who are lonely, homeless, and experiencing food insecurities are our neighbors, and we are called by Christ to extend caring and compassion.

Our Community Supper is served at 2pm Sunday afternoon, except on the second Sunday of each month, the meal will be at 4:00pm. This meal is open to all members of Messiah and the Auburn community as a time for nourishment, hospitality and fellowship. If you interested in becoming involved in the meal in any way, please reach out to Savannah  for more information.

Additionally, we are opening our doors to a second meal Thursday evenings from 5:30-6:30pm. This meal with be hosted by a local organization called Spirit Fest, so if you happen to be in the building Thursday evenings, be sure to welcome our new partners and guests!
